2023/12/12. Good morning everybody. Here's my latest drawing (pencils and charcoal on A4 size Kent paper). It's my last long portrait for this year. Let's meet in 2024 with the next one!! Thanks for any comment or critique. Have a good day.

Way awesome, its been great getting on and seeing your work, its very inspirational seeing somebody at such a high level going through the same classes I am, can't wait for your next one.

First attempt before the demo. I need to take my time in ghosting the line before committing, and just be more patient in general. After watching Stan's demonstration, he has much cleaner lines. Mine are confident, but I think I'm too confident which results in messy linework. I'll spend the next week or so practicing this on different subjects around the house, I'll also attempt those shoe laces again! Can you tell I spent 2 seconds on each lace? hahaha

Not too bad, keeping nice clean lines as been the biggest struggle for me with these too, im definitely am going to have to take some time to practice with other subjects as well. Keep up the good work!

Took me 4 attempts to get a snail I am pleased with. As for the boots - I just feel stuck. I can't seem to find their shape.

Ya, those boots were hard hard, but just keep at em, they took me forever to complete but it was good practice to do something i was that uncomfortable with.

I tried an Eliza Ivanova portrait and spent a little more time on it. This is the third attempt. I really like how she uses chaotic looking lines to add depth and form to the face. Mainly just focusing on the face for this part. I think the ear and neck are off proportionally and the fabric got away from me. I missed a lot of the softer contour looking lines but this is a really cool style I'm going to study more

That is a really cool style, you're starting to get it, good work!

Here is mine. I do a fair amount of this sort of thing, so this is in my comfort zone.
