My first go at the pear. I actually found it very difficult to simplify.... I kept wanting to round and follow as I saw the object. I also think I need quite a bit more practice at the values. I'm not sure I really pulled the values off very well but something I will work on in the future. Overall a very fun exercise that kept me busy for a while!

This is me putting pencil to paper! It actually took me back to my childhood where I loved to draw and Stan is totally right, drawing is a form of meditation. I’ve not been so lost in something for many years.

The meditative aspects of drawing is why I enjoy it so much. The more you practice getting into that sort of headspace while drawing, the more you will learn and the better your drawings will come out.

life got in the way so I’m starting over (wasn’t that far into the course) …replaced my sketchbook with a more manageable size (Master’s Touch Spiral Sketch Book 8.5x11) went with a 80lbs(130gsm) but plan on going back to a higher pound after this book is full.

Brilliant use of shading, I’m excited to learn more about shading so your picture is an inspiration.

Hi there! I got this course a long time ago and barely starting, haha! I did some scribbles, a few bird studies in charcoal, and an original character of mine that I'm trying to pin down. I would appreciate any replies! Thank you!

Great use of lines to build a picture, I also love how you’ve used basic shapes to build up the bird studies. Really like the imagination!
