I enjoyed this assignment. As I went along, I became a bit more experimental. I think it would be a cool next assignment to have box people doing activities and trying to convey emotion through gesture. That's certainly something I'd like to be better at.

Day. I'm still a bit unsure on when to use the blend tool vs trying to blend via the brush

I am extremely frustrated and confused. Is this really the first assignment for this course, or am I missing a few sections of instructions? I feel like I haven't been given any instruction. The first section was like learning what numbers are, and this is like asking me to do precalculus. I don't even know where to start.

My level 1. I think they're a bit too noisy.

Day 2, bats and a jack-o-lantern. The shape of the bats were a bit difficult so I traced the outer lines.

I found this very difficult and tedious, but finding an image that I liked more than the given example helped a lot. I did better than I expected for this, even though it took me some retries and I definitely did not get the nose/mouth.

I tried this one a lot of times. Images seem to be in backwards order from how I tried.

Great job on these!

I decided to go with the aardwolf, since I don't see it talked about or drawn much. It took me a ton of tries but I think it looks alright for now, for drawing from observation. My from imagination ones (not shared here, yet) are still very rough. The fur turned out to be a lot harder for me than I thought it would be and I'm still rather bad at identifying the shape of lower jaws for some reason.

I tried to keep the image as close to the reference as possible

Omg, that's awesome! And great simplification as well!
