Despite loving sketching and outlining, coloring has always felt intimidating. I constantly struggle with it. So I couldn’t have been happier to find out and try out this course! I avoided tackling this difficulty long enough :)
I did use color picking (and a bit of the smudge tool)
I also tried the level 2 portrait. I would love to get some critique on it.
my 2 personal gripes with it are:
1. I feel like I complicated things more than necessary. That my lack of confidence in simplifying (which is of course not simple XD) made me rely too much on copying.
2. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t figure out the eyes. How to make them stare in the same direction as the photo.
