It was a fun exercise. Rather challenging at first but a after a few days of practice the results are good enough. I can keep on practicing a few minutes a day and move on. The extra challenge that I set was to keep the page in one position. This forced me to draw at angles that turned out to be very tricky :D
I really like your proportions. The mushrooms look cute. It just looks as if you darkened some of the contour lines. If not, then you really have a good control over the pen preasure.

Project 1 done without watching the demo. Lots of interesting observations. I definatelly need to get a wighter papter or a white pencil for the highlights. I think I'll take another shot at this assignment after the course because at the moment I would just copy the demo 1 to 1. But overall it was fun :)

Wow! The shading is so even! This is such a great place to start! Keep drawing!
I really like how this drawing looks on this paper. I admire the texture with how you shaded on it.
You could try a white chalk pencil for the highlights to make it pop more.
A bit off topic but maybe you will like it-
I was just looking through Roberto Ferri’s drawings earlier today. He uses white chalk in his drawings. Maybe there’s something you can get out of looking at how he draws. He’s insanely good.
