All the visual examples in these videos make them a really fun watch! Also was a good reminder that perspective isn't ONLY about drawing boxes. The 2 master examples i had used before were by Peter Han and Kim Jung Gi. First the drawing by Peter Han: 5 / 5 Perspective methods found Red - Diminution (The closer man appears larger than the further man) Light blue - Converge ( Not sure if i judged the horizon line right ? ) Green - Foreshortening ( Arm almost straight on to us, fingers almost as long as the rest of the arm) Purple - Overlap ( Arm covers the leg ) Yellow - Atmosphere ( Ground far from the viewer loses detail ) Second drawing by Kim Jung Gi: 4 / 5 Perspective methods found Red - Diminution ( Knife is as large as the man holding the pig in the back ) Light blue - Converge ( Cutting table provided an easy box to draw the converging lines from. As the table is quite close the vertical lines are almost well, vertical. ) Green - Foreshortening (Again arm pointed almost straight at us, hand covers most of arm. ) Purple - Overlap ( The boy's hands and legs cover the man's neck ) Found no examples of atmospheric perspective in this piece. I think that makes sense as the scene seems like a close room or hall where the effect wouldn't be strong enough to notice.

Oh, just re-read the assignment and i see that i misunderstood it a little bit. Fortunately I'm not at all qualified to criticize these works anyhow 😅

Another more structured attempt at rib cage construction! Again from memory. Got a bit carried away with cleaning this one up. Looking up at the rib cage continues to be the most difficult pow and the side planes’ shape remains a bit unclear. Thank you for taking the time to read this and looking at my work! If you see any fatal flaw with the way I construct the rib cage I’d love to know. Now it is time to move on to the shoulders.

I really liked Neville’s exercise idea and had a go at it too! I did end up losing focus and direction on the exercise so I did kinda just end up doing some memory and construction practice of the rib cage.

Here is my 1st attempt on the assignment! Did some corrections after watching the demos but still haven’t seen the critique video.
@aeyt
A couple studies from the model before starting the first assignment!

More practice while / after watching the critique
@aeyt
Some “imagination” construction practice from the back. Very hard. The viewpoints looking up at the pelvis especially make my brain explode. Post watching the demos but still pre watching the critique.

Moving on from the spine for now and revisiting the pelvis lessons for the first time with the premium course! A couple ones from imagination today.

Nice! These are wonderful. You did a great job simplifying the forms. I think the curve going around the back of the pelvis would be higher. Keep it up!

Redid 9 after watching Stan’s critique and did a couple additional ones

Revisited the right one as I wasn’t happy with the way it turned out. That pose was causing me a lot of difficulties so in the end I ended up doing a trace study of it as well to try and figure it out.
