Hi @adripeach on top of the critique about proportions that Sylvianna had pointed out, I think you also want to design the shapes of your mannequin to get stronger gesture lines in your drawings I attached my gesture attempt for your third image, and I wanted to design his torso and limbs so that the shapes feel like they flow together, which makes the figure feel more dynamic. Try not to get caught up in the contours, and instead, think of finding opportunities where you can design your shapes to make your drawing more dynamic than the reference. Hope this helps!

Great line quality and gesture! I think you could watch out for the proportion of the torso ( you seem like drawing rhem too long) and the legs (they are too short ) It’s a common mistake anybody does in the beginning. Keep up the good work!

try looking at force videos on youtube, stan does a video with them you seem to be very contour heavy at the moment but the poses are communicated well!

Hey adripeach! They’re a good start! For the beginning I would suggest that you focus on lines and on the flow/Movement of the gesture instead on how the figure looks like. Gestures are composed just by 3 types of lines: S- curves, C-curves and straight lines. When you do your gesture drawings try to simplify what you see using these lines and draw them confidently. It can also help to set a limit of lines you want to use. For example try to draw what you see with just 5 to 7 strokes. I hope this helps, good luck!
