I'm looking for some help here. Back again after 2 years on proko.com and I'm having some difficulty with getting jobs and working with client. How to understand character briefs and what client is looking for is something I need to know how to do. Here I tried making some mechs and it is my first attempt ever. Please let me know your thoughts and if this platform is still active or not!!!! #characterdesign #conceptart

Hey everyone i am a beginner artist from India and here’s my recent portrait drawing which I learned from Proko ,the portrait drawing fundamental series. It would be really nice to get some feedback’s/critique from you guys and I am really looking forward to make some friends over here too.

Since you are looking up, there should be a bit of the jaw's underside visible and connecting to the neck but you only show a sudden transition with just a t overlap between the neck and chin. Touch your neck, do you feel the larynx? That's what your neck is missing the most!

Looking good! If you are a beginner, this is an excellent start! Proportions of the face are looking pretty good. I can't quite tell if you want to do line art, or realistic shading, but there are definitely good ways of doing both at the same time. Just be conscious of what you want with your drawing. For years, I just kind of accidentally did both and I don't think I did that well, to be honest. Areas of improvement are definitely the neck and shoulder. It's so easy to spend all of your time on the face and kind of lose motivation when you get to these other areas, but these other areas are also very important to get right. Specifically, the shoulder lacks spacial definition and got kind of flat, and the neck feels elongated. I think I needed to see where the neck meets the chest on the left edge. It looks like it continues a little too far to be real.
