In today’s vid I’ll share with you the BEST… aka MOST FLEXIBLE, 3 primary color combo you can use to mix as many colors as possible.
The Cyan-Yellow-Magenta is one of the most useful combos in this regard.
Here are the three colors (all Daniel Smith)
- Lemon Yellow - PY175 (In this example “Lemon Yellow” by Daniel Smith)
- Cyan - PB15:6 (In this example - “Phthalo Blue” - Red Shade)
- Magenta - PV19 (In this example “Quinacridone Rose”)
(Please note that the name of color on the tube doesn’t mean much, the most important part is the PIGMENT itself).
This will probably allow you to mix 95% of colors out there.
The other 5% is made of VERY BRIGHT colors that are harder to mix. This includes very fiery reds / oranges, bright turquoises etc…
