- Gather 3 different references from insects.
- Draw each reference as you see it with simplified manipulated forms.
- Rotate each reference 2 times in a different angle (for a total of 9 drawings).

This was somewhat easier for me and harder at the same time because of how familiar I am with insects. It helped me cheat a bit, but was hard to draw what I see, not what I know from anatomy.

This was super fun! Really. I treat myself to draw a Kung Fu Mantis, after the hard work drawing all the insects. I can see the improvement from the reptiles, but still, there is a lot space to improve. :)

Nice! You can show more construction if you would use more primitive forms. Take a look at the mantis for example; right now you have 1 shape with contours for the arm. But you can use 2 or 3 seperate cylinders to construct that same arm and it would be more clear to read. Avoid copying the reference by drawing the 2d shapes that you see.
