When sculpting hair it’s important to think about it as clumps or chunks rather than individual strands. In this lesson, you’ll learn to focus on the volume and mass of the hair, and to start with primary forms before worrying about surface texture. We’ll discuss techniques such as blurring reference photos, using simplified head studies for practice, paying attention to the hairline, and making soft transitions between the head and hair. In the premium course we’ll cover hair anatomy and terminology, as well as techniques for sculpting different hairstyles.
