Learn an easy DIY budget-friendly process for making reusable molds from clay sculptures! Sculptor Andrew Keith lays out the supplies needed for it like silicone caulk, clay, plaster, and cloth. Then he walks through each step of the mold making process including applying thin silicone layers for detail, adding cloth strips for strength, constructing a burlap plaster mother mold, carefully separating the mold halves, cleaning up the pieces, and finally casting to reveal the finished plaster copy.

I think this is just regular plaster of Paris I know there are different types that harden faster or slower and are harder or softer but I haven't looked into those differences too much. If I cast in plaster I try to use a harder plaster though like Hydrostone plaster.
