Lots of things I’d like to improve like proportions, but I would have never created anything like this before this class. Thanks, Liron!

Demo landscape. Yellow Ochre, Quinacridone Rose and Phthalo Blue. Drawing, not too complex. Had to try glazing the blues and purples over the yellows and pinks. I liked the effect.

Drawing? Legs of the dad a little long. Enjoyed painting the figures. Used masking fluid to help keep delicate highlights, back of the pants. Decisions regarding background should have led me to simplicity rather than the overworked result. One wash and done would have sufficed! Main subject, the child on the dad’s shoulders gets lost in complexity of the background, wouldn’t you agree?

Gave it my best shot drawing. Struck out trying to simplify. Got caught up in the color subtleties. Used Hansa Yellow, Phthalo Blue, Quinacridone Rose. Tried a background that worked since I could not easily mix a black. Blocked out some highlights, but in the end did not bother to modify them. Got lost in the folds of the tablecloth and tried my best to resurrect something.
