Hello guys! I've made some underwater compositions for a project and i'd like to know what you think about those and what's your favourite one! All the images are made pretty quickly and it's not really my confort zone (i'm more a portrait artist). Thanks and have a great day!

Hey Marco, great work! I can see you have a grasp on composition already- but I did a paintover anyway! I took your first image because I like the feeling of stillness it has- and I wanted to create movement within that context. I altered the design of the pillar and shortened the stones near it to try to make it more of a focal point. I felt like the main thing here was the environment so I made the character more of a tertiary read and tried to build visual interest in the path between. I have other notes on the page that I think you get already, but since you said this was out of your comfort zone I added them just in case! But again, great explorations!

These are really great! I like the story elements in A and E. A is somewhat cliché, but it works well and is very pleasing. I'd just make it clearer that stickman is floating. At first glance it looked like he was standing, maybe float some hair or clothing, and pull him away from the ground plane, so the silhouette communicates that floating feeling better. E is probably my favorite, but it might need some more white space around the escaping diver. It's again not a clear read at first glance, and I had to "look around" a bit to figure out the what the story was. You could also overlap some foreground elements with the shark to create more depth, that shark is large enough to read well regardless. The others are all good compositions too, but I felt story was stronger for those two.

Thanks! Yes, your idea for A is really great, i'll try to make the stick figure float around to create a better "underwater" feeling. Thanks for the suggestions, really appreciated!

I love your underwater comps! My favorites are B and E because the giant fish and great white shark help your images in terms of scale and really help in terms of composition as well.

These are actually good, what are you saying man?...ok I get its not your comfort zone as in the whole process might be daunting, but I assure you this way more than good. Ok maybe I cant asure you, people who actually know composition can come up with some points here and there, but yeah, good work!!

They are all very good studies, congratulations. I like the idea of the giant fish. My favourites, in terms of composition, I would say are B and E.

I like B the most I'd say. The fish immediately catches my attention and then i discover the lad in the bottom and realize the scale of the fish:) A didn't immiedliety read as under water for me. Maybe the flat floor idk. Sure You could easily enforce it with colour. Great job there!:)
