Training with my drawings

Hello people! I decided to study gestures using some of my drawings as a reference. I wanted to know what it was like to draw gestures from less realistic works (such as manga, cartoons, etc). I'll leave the drawings I made attached so you can get an idea of what I tried to do ;D I'll leave too my eye sketch I made just for fun :3 (Sorry for bad English... I use translation :/)

Nice studies @Mariana Santos! I think that studying gesture from less realistic media (like cartoons) is great because most animators and comic artists focus on exaggerating the gesture in their poses. Of course, the effectiveness of what you study is highly dependent on which artists you choose. I personally think that you're drawings are quite expressive, but you could definitely learn a lot just by studying artists and not doing studies of your own work. Most people really admire Glen Keane's gesture sketches (he worked on a lot of Disney Movies if you're not familiar with his name) so maybe doing studies of his work would be a good place to start. For me personally, I really like Kohei Horikoshi's work, and I would say MOST manga artists for an action series would probably be really good at drawing gesture as well. There are lots of different artists that you can choose from, and if you ever find yourself unsure if an artist is good to study or not, feel free to tag me and I can let you know. Hope this helps!

I understood! It's just that at first I wanted to try to make it with my own drawings to find out what their gestural shapes would be like.  I know Glen Keane and his works, I admire him a lot but I'm more adept at manga. I would like to have more examples of artists in this area, as the ones I know about their work are very static and without much action and gesture. But Thank you so much ;)
