Need reassurance as I’m losing confidence and focus on where to go next

Is there a difference between drawing forms, and drawing forms *in perspective*?
Like drawing forms knowing they don’t really make sense just for the heck of it?
I’m very new to drawing but I’m dipping my toes into perspective. I don’t have anyone to show my mistakes, so I thought I’d come here for guidance. Line work is very sloppy but I’m still trying to figure out how to hold my pencil comfortably.

You’re off to a great start! Thanks for sharing.
Learning to draw forms in perspective is fundamental to learning how to draw. Like learning music scales if your were practicing an instrument. You need to understand the basics before you’re able to draw more advanced subjects.
It becomes more intuitive as you practice more and ‘drawing forms just for the heck of it’ will naturally have perspective in them.
Feel free to post more drawings or questions on Proko and you can even tag me for help if you like.
Thanks. I’m finding certain skills to be very intuitive, but also have areas I can’t wrap my head around such as values or gesture.
I’m still very happy to try and see what happens, but having a community where I can figure out where to go next is nice to have.
