Hi! I just finished my first ever piece (from sketch to color woohoo!). So, i made a small sketch and ends up doing a full piece for the first time. It took about 20hours in the past week. Experimenting and all. But i noticed that i worked on a small sketch all the time. I'm still learning but it was odd... but i think that it was easier? and i really had fun painting pixels! It turned out ok i guess, but it's small. I have the Ipad 9nth gen and Pencil 1. Any tips for a good canva size to start sketching? My canva was 9x11. Of course critics for everything else are welcome too! And i never really done a piece in color, help appreciated for that. Thank you!

Asked for help
Hello? Well, i found out that copy|paste make thing pixelated... wich i did. I made around 10 characters and copy paste each time... But i really need help for canvas size and brush. I'm so used to pencil that nothing seems to work now. I spend the last 2 days just ''testing'' brush and canva size. Starting to hate this thing to be honest...As if i was ''lucky'' to finish this one. For now i work on a 9x11 canva, like if it was my sketchbook. But everything is small. And using a custom brush that a i made. Wondering if a paperlike glass protector will help since it fell ''slippery''? Sorry for my english, its not my fisrt language and thanks for your time. Edit: Did not find anything about people drawing small on Digital Media and how they work. Exept DPI, PPI, bigger canvas etc... I want to be able to print my work. Maybe i'm dumb, but i want to learn this thing so bad haha.

Hello Stephane, nice work! If you want to print your artwork, consider matching your canvas size to the most common print sizes available wherever you plan to print your work. If you're just sketching, using a 9" x 11" canvas, or whatever size matches your sketchbook is just fine, but make sure when you create your canvas the DPI is set to a minimum of 300 DPI for print. The higher the DPI the sharper your image will print. However, Procreate will decrease the number of layers your can use to create your artwork the higher the DPI is set. Hope this helps!
