Hi! These are my gouache studies from watts. 1 painting everyday. I will post more soon.
Nice work John. The main thing I'm noticing is that the contrast is staying pretty heavy into the background. You should generally have your darkest darks and lightest lights up front (or middle can work depending on composition), then your values should compress and lighten as the view recedes.

These are really cool, John! I just started playing with gouache myself and love them.
Looks great! Reminds me of Leyendecker and Rockwell. But why are they all doing the duckface? shouldnt say my profile picture has the same lol
