I like how these look ! Here my feedback : 1- I recommend that you always indicate the hands, even with a few lines / square generic shape, without indicating every single finger. Hands are important in the gesture cause they can be part of the story/mouvement. They're also important in any figure drawing, so the figure doesnt look amputated. 👉 Notice how @Rubén Frutos draws the hands, that would help you. 2- It seems to me that you are giving too much consideration to the structure, as if it were a mannequinization practice. Do you time yourself on each pose? If so, you should indicate how much time you spend for each pose If not, then you should. I recommend timer videos like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT6JdZUolm0&ab_channel=Timer𐫴fit-IntervalTimers Also you should check the feedbacks I received on my gesture drawings here 👉https://www.proko.com/s/UU9S, I've found them quite insightful. Hope this helps, Repetition surely helps. So I look forward to seeing your next gesture drawings 🤗 Cheers !

they look so nice Here are some gesture drawings I did today as warm-ups, most of them are 2 minutes I need your critiques to improve 🙏

@Diego Cardozo Munhoz @Rubén Frutos I tried to keep in mind your feedbacks during today's gesture drawing practice. It took longer than 2 minutes for me to be able to redraw the lines to make them more descriptive of the the pose's mouvement + to consider the proportions a bit. Here attached is my gesture practice for today, What do you think guys? should i limit the timing to 2 minutes or do i take as much time as i feel is required for the pose? Thank you so much for your help ! 😁

I agree with Rubén, but you shouldn't bother much about the proportions right now, approach it in steps. The first thing you must focus on is to represent the movement with lines, which I think you're doing well, specially with the poses with no time limit. What helped me quite a bit with foreshortened members is to use wrapping lines, as it kinda of forces your brain to place the arm or legs, for exemple, in an understanding, thoughtfull manner - if that makes sense. Although I like prokos gesture drawing, I think you could benefit from taking a look on how Michael Hampton approaches his figures, it's more beginner friendly, as he almost offers you a recipe for gesture drawing. Here are some examples of his approach: https://youtu.be/XpejM-T9YG0 His youtube lesson: https://youtu.be/sSzB3ESpfE0 I highly encourage you to take a look at it, even if you don't like, you can take something that will me sense in your head. Anyway, good job e good luck!

Thanks!! Well, the first thing that I noticed is that you are trying too hard to nail the gestures in your first lines. You need to losen up, it's ok if you have to do 3 or 4 times the same line in order to get it right. Start light and darken up when you feel it's right. Also, don't get caught up on details, like a finger or a nose, it's better that you use that time to observe the figure and get the general gesture of the it, especially in these fast drawings. I see that you captured pretty good the movement in a most of them, which is great, cause that's what gesture's all about. Proportions are a bit off, but that's something that observation and repetition will bring to your drawings.
