Feedback on epic SciFi album cover please π

Hi draftsfolk!
I am working on an album cover. I am pretty happy with this first draft. But for the high res version, I'll have to redo it bigger and better. Here are some of my issues:
1. Scale
I want to add (the illusion of) detail to the figure to dramatize its size.
I have to do something to the foreground figure as well... maybe push it back so it's smaller or bring it even closer to the camera for a cool foreshortening effect. What do you think would make a better composition?
2. Colours
I want green to be the main and red to be an accent colour. But also have some subtle variety, so it doesn't look duochrome and at least somewhat realistic. It was kind of an afterthought, so it does not come through in the current sketch at all. But do you think this could work? Maybe by leaning more into a grey sky and greenery in the middleground. Not sure which colour could work for the neon lights, though :/
3. Composition
I struggle with finding a composition that looks good in the square format. Could you recommend an artist that nails asymmetric dynamic square compositions for inspiration?
Any other advice is also greatly appreciated and paintovers are encouraged β€
Hey Lena,
I created a few notes on your image, which is very cool by the way :)
As far as scale, keeping the large image in the background without much detail will help push it back into the distance. If you do add detail, I would add it to the lower part.
I did a quick sketch of an option you could do with the figure in the foreground, but, to be honest, I like yours better. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure its clear she's looking at the large creature in the background.
My thoughts on color and composition is explained in the sketch. I hope this helps, but I think it's already pretty cool :)
