Digital Portrait Study

Here is a portrait study I did in Procreate. I took reference from a movie scene. need some critique on color and light :)
Hey Omkar, Great work on this! The eyes are so life-like, and the hair is spot-on. The only thing I would add, without seeing the original reference, would be to tighten up the terminator lines a little more, particularly under the hood. Shadows that close are usually pretty sharp and tend to blur out with distance, a fantastic study nonetheless!
Really nice work Omkar - especially on the facial expression, bravo!
My advise mostly relates the overall appeal of the painting and may therefor be less relevant if realism is you goal.
I think you should take advantage of the very dramatic light by increasing the contrast between the areas in light and those in shadow.
The brightness range between the light and shadow on the face is a bit too close. Especially if you compare it to the light and shadow on the chain-mail.
Your portrait could also benefit from a reduction in the number of highlights/small shapes on the chain-mail - the chain-mail is a very busy area, which is a shame because it draws attention away from the face.
The chain-mail would still be recognizable if you reduced the number of small shapes by 30-50 %.
Lastly, and this is probably just me that hasn't figured it out. But i don't quite understand why there are two reflections in each eye. It suggest a secondary light source to our right side. If the reference picture is from a movie the second reflection in the eyes (our right side, his left) might come from an artificial light behind the camera.

Wow. For one moment I tought it was a photo. Great painting and great gesture. One little thing. The material of the chainmail needs to be shinier.
Amazing work @Omkar Gaokar. When I'm looking at the preview image on your post, your painting basically looks photorealistic. This means that your values and colors on the face are basically spot on. I also love how you have a variety of textures on the face with the way you handled his facial hair and eyebrows.
The only critique I could think of is that the material handling of the chainmail on top of his head looks a bit off, which is exaggerated by the fact that his face is painted almost perfectly. Do you happen to have the reference image for this photo? I think I could more clearly point out what's feeling off by comparing it to the reference photo.
Other than that, I don't think I can begin to express how well done that face was painted. Such good work! If you're concern was mainly about painting the features of the face, you can ignore my previous critique haha
“you have chosen wisely” in painting this fine sir from one of the greatest movies of all time hahaha, sick! Just admiring, I thought it was the actual shot from the movie! Very impressive work. 😮
