Courses in addition to Drawing Fundamentals

I am taking Drawing Fundamentals. I have isolated many weak spots in my drawings, places that I need to improve. RIght now I am in the middle of the published version of it. Does it make sense to catchup first till the last published project? Or maybe I could start Figure Drawing by Proko in addition? I want to draw people, but I feel that my lines are not as good as I want them. I practice a lot, but I do not practice drawing people that much and I need some backbone to make drawing people somewhat structured and a dality routine.
I following some perspective course before, but did not have enough practice with drawing simple forms from different positions, so I do not have intuition for perspective to draw from imagination anything solid with ease. Should I finish perspective studies first before moving to people?
What do you think?
Thank you all for new ideas and reflections. It seems that it is a recurring pattern in my thinking. I guess, I have been affected by having rough weeks when my drawing habits go to hell. And I am starting to look for external fixes. It is wrong. The problem lies in me and my lack of energy. I become angry when I cannot keep up with daily routine of drawing. Taking another course would put more stress on me and steal the chance to do drawings just for fun.
If you feel the same, my advice is to ensure that you have enough sleep. My learning breaks and fun runs away from me when I do not have enough sleep for a few days (4-5 exactly). Being parent is a bitch. Why schools start so early? Is the world being ruled by early risers? :-D I will stop here, hehe.
I believe that the fundamentals course is structured so that each lesson builds upon the skills you aquired in the previous lesson. My suggestion is to continue going forward at a reasonble pace, rather than skipping ahead. At the same time don't wait until you are perfect before moving on. I'm taking the same course and I go back and practice older projects, while taking the recent lessons. It's also a good idea to do at least 15 minutes of warmups (lines, circles, etc.) before each proctice session.
On figure drawing: A beginners' figure drawing course is not a beginners' drawing course. I would probably finish the basics course. Don't expect perfection after finishing the course. That will take years of solid effort on your part.
I enrolled in both classes you mention: drawing fundamentals and figure drawing fundamentals bc I like to draw comic book art but I feel I need to learn more concepts in order to flesh out things. I think both courses have similar requirements of skill so I think it’s okay to do that. I need to improve on the right balance of doing both courses, which will directly impact how good your drawing is based on timing and when you take the course. For example I draw comic scenes for my art but I haven’t gotten to shading yet. Very likely my drawing would be better had I got to that before but so long as you take your drawings as part of the process or journey then you won’t feel discouraged or remorse. Long story short, I think it’s completely fine to do that.
