Can not draw from imagination

Hello there,
Im an animator, I have been doing figure drawing for a while, but when it comes to transfer these thing that i learn from figure drawing into animation is really difficult. For example, I will struggle using the character designs to pose the same pose as I do in figure drawing, which results at the characters lacking "life". I also struggle with anatomy, and the anatomical forms and shapes a lot, i feel when it comes to muscles and bones, everytime I draw an character I will have to "re-invent" it. And it will costs me so much time to do it.

I really like your figure drawings and I understand the importance of time in animation. There aren't any shortcuts to learning and understanding anatomy, but throughout your process of learning and studying you will develop shorthands for these shapes that will be informed by the knowledge you have been acquiring. In other words your speed and accuracy will increase with lots of practice. Keep drawing every day and look at bunch of anatomical drawings. Study artists that have great knowledge of anatomy. Your speed will increase!
