Hi everyone, I’m currently taking the Marvel Comics course, but I’m not really interested in superheroes. My main goal is to learn how to create my own comics using techniques from the best in the industry. As part of the course, there’s an assignment to draw a Black Panther and Spider-Man comic. However, I think it would be more fun and meaningful to use my own characters instead. I’m considering creating a comic based on the biblical story of Jacob wrestling with the angel. It feels like a more personal challenge since I’d need to design the characters from scratch. Should I stick with the original assignment, or is it okay to branch out and work on my own idea?
