all from my imagination

@jdn
i dont know if these would really count as concept art because i really never went any were with these characters but i thought that it would be cool to post for others to see and maybe get some ideas also these are all like 3 & 4 & 5 months old so i have got a bit better since then also i would love to all of your thoughts have fun! 😄
These are really neat, I especially like the first one, it feels like it would be like a cosmic being, the lighter bits would be glowing and the darker would be pitch black
Some of these are very unique! I would also love to see some of your recent work. Greetings!
I love the expressiveness in your work. If you want to improve, I'd say work on drawing from observation. In addition, study prespective and draw cubes, cylinders, and spheres. Some books you might like are: "Drawing Figures the Marvel Way" and Andrew Loomis' "Fun with a Pencil." You can probably find them used for cheap. Finally, I would not call these concept art at all- if you're curious about the field, the latest Draftsman podcast is all about concept art. Feng Zhu also talks about the realities of the industry on his youtube channel
'Concept Art' can sometimes be such a wide umbrella that can bleed into other aspects of art (ie Illustration, Marketing Art, etc.) so I can definitely see how it can be hard to pin down specific pieces as 'Concept Art' or not. I'm definitely not the guy who can give a definitive answer for that xD, but what I can say is that your pieces do have a lot of energy, and this type of work gives me that Mad Magazine type of vibe. Good stuff! Would also be interested in seeing more of your recent work as well.
Hi Jdn,
Keep up the good work and thank you for the inspiration!!
I think that some more focus on the fundamentals (like structure) and on anatomy (Stan's course is very good in my opinion) could help you improve your drawings. @Marshall Vandruff's perspective course (to be found on his website) really helped me a lot in understanding and drawing basic shapes. Also, I believe there will be a fundamentals course available on @Proko, but I don't know if a releasedate is known at this time.
Cool drawings, thank you for sharing! :)
ps: Also, when shading your drawings, keep in mind the importance of the edges of your (light and shadow)shapes, and to keep your lights and darks "seperated" from each other.
pps: One more tip, when presenting your artwork, try to make good quality pictures. Some are a quite dark and one is a bit blurry. ;)
Cheers,
Leon
