Gabriel Kahn
I thought I'll make a topic where you guys could drop your entries for this year's Mermay challenge.
I'm interested in your art :)
Here is mine
Hi all! I am sorry I am only seeing this now. So I hope it is okay to fill up this thread a bit more! A collection of merms is always cool, right? So here a some of mine. Thank you @Gabriel Kahn for starting this thread, I think this is def a good idea! Maybe Mermay posts will keep trickling in through the year.
Really love the colors on your merm! very nice contrast on the face!
I'm working on a Mermay project where i turn humans into mermaids! I'm gonna draw 5 in total, 2 done 3 remaining! yay!!!
That is so fun to do!! I did this to my gesture studies! I do have some "issues" with the design of the tails. Where does human anatomy stop and Fish anatomy begin? Plus the fins.. they should be sturdy right? Otherwise it would not be able to move those body proportions. But sturdy does not look elegant. meh! Did you come into such ponderings? :D
Hey Gabriel, I like how you made the light patterns on the skin caused by the waves!
Here is mine, it's colored pencils on mid-tone paper
