I really wanted to focus on getting Face proportions down, so I attempted a second one with David Bowie!
I really enjoyed this project and I'm definitely going to practice this a bunch.
I tried to go at a decent pace but I know there's areas I missed and messed up on. That's the benefit of coming back to it later though!

Here's my attempts at studying some art! I didn't really have a clear vision on who I wanted to study, but I saw a few pieces that I thought were super cool, and really wanted to learn from! The Naruto is from Masashi Kishimoto's Manga, The Ghost Rider is originally from Reilly Brown, and unfortunately I could not find the original artist for the Gojo :(

Nice job and great picks! Something I think worth studying about these pieces is the hierarchy of line thickness and edge. As seen in the Gojo drawing, the prominent hand jumps out againsts the rest of the drawing, which has thinner and softer edges and less defined outlines (take a look at the sleeve or the shoulders, for instance). This is a great way to organize drawings in a way that directs the viewer to the right areas without overwhelming the eyes with a lot of information at once. There's also the controlled tapering of the lines. E.g. the Naruto panel: the surrounding lines indicating a sense of fast motion all taper towards the same direction cleanly, no overlaps. The precision both adds the feeling, but also indicates perspective and helps the viewer place the location of the subjects as they move around the scene. I think studying this on paper will also be greatly helpful in practicing line and weight control.
