Taken from this video , I used loomis as construction guide ^^
Proportions or general critique is highly appreciated ^^

Hey, they are looking pretty good so far, the construction looks consistent, really nice. My suggestion is to start doing 5 min head sketches, in order to detect any evident gap in your knowledge on the loomis head, I think is necessary to attempt to take the construction as a lay in for a more complete drawing in addition to the quick ones.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you ! I'm already doing it past few days , will post it here when I have a new one that I saved, Thanks alot ^^

Head Study and practice for today

critiques are highly appreciated ^^
Continuing with my reilly method studies by tracing on to real life faces and adjusting the proportions to fit on different angles
After that I do 2 min head sketches mainly with loomis in mind but applying things i've learned on reilly .
Critiques on proportions , construction or general would be much appreciated !
I recently just learned Reilly method and told to trace it on asaro head . The activity is super amazing on familiaring you on planes of the head features.
As you turn into sideview tho , I found that it will be harder to implement as the strength of the method being rhythms would be harder to implement as you go on side angle because the cues on proportions would be way different .
Still super interesting method and would love to practice this exercise more .
Critiques and Tips are super welcome . Will implement criticisms.

Hey, those constructions look great! It seems like you are looking for the correct cues on the head and face for these constructions, so the only advice I can give you regarding this exercise, is keep doing it regularly.
There are some other 2 tips I would give you. You mention that you did some minor revisions on some of these at the end of the session, if it was just to add a little bit of detail so it captures the portrait better, that's fine, If you had to reconstruct some part of the head so it looked more proportioned, do so wisely and not so often, it may become a habit that turn time sessions kind of pointless if you don't respect the time limit (just something to keep in mind, since it happened to me! xd).
Secondly, you may want to add to your pool of exercises some head gesture drawing, when focusing too much on the loomis head it's kind of difficult to deviate from the formula, so you can be more fuid and expressive with the drawing. For applying gesture to the head I recommend Steve Huston (there's a 3 hr youtube video on the New masters's academy channel where he does some demonstrations).
You are on your way, keep practicing and experimenting!
Thank you so much David ! Noted on those tips , I do indeed need to have different approach rather than loomis when I get comfortable on the formula noted on , I do fast minor revisions later on as well and look at all twice to self reflect self criticize what i couldve done better . Maybe I can just do 5 min sketches as sessions that have more thinking xd
Thanks a lot ! Will push to doing this consistently !
2 mins quick sketches with some minor revisions on some at the end of the session , critiques or tips about my loomis construction or even general feedback is very welcome.
