I had the most fun with #1 and #2, I put quite a bit of thought into those – despite that it may not show – for #1, I adore the poppy field subject and I loved the composition of the ref but hated the coloring; for #2 I spent quite some time looking at inspiration on how to push the hue shifts. The 3rd and 4th I tried to time myself, I don't feel like those turned out great. I kind of hate how #4 turned out, but hopefully with practice I'll get better at quickly figuring out appealing and logical colors/values. The 5th, I tried to go less overboard with colors, but I think it could have used a bit more bling. I attempted to do these in Heavypaint/Rebelle 5 gouache as well, but my skills aren't there yet, especially for virtual gouache (I spent 2h and scrapped it all). Thanks for the excuse to spend time on landscapes this month! I had a lot of fun, as well as a lot of frustration. :) It's also been fun to check on what other people are doing.
