Asked for help
this is my eye drawing. I kind of rushed it because I was getting a little impatient. does anyone know any good books or pictures I could buy where there is references of real people's facial features close up. Part of my time doing this was trying to find a good eye picture up close that has good lighting and darkness.
I cant recommend a book, but try drawing your own eye using a mirror. I really prefer taking my own reference photos. Take some close ups of family members and work from there.
tracing first is a good suggestion as the eye is always smaller than you remember in the context of the face.
Also take care to keep your iris perfectly round when drawing front view.
