I really enjoyed this lesson! I am struggling a bit to place the light, especially if the shapes are not flowing in the same direction, and some intersections show. All is done with a mechanical pencil, I have to buy the rest of materials.

Super cool!
Heres something that might help you out. Try imagining a light bulb hanging above your subject. Form all of the shadow shapes out from that.
My drawing is overly simplified to exaggerate the idea.
Try to consolidate the bumps and details to the boundary of the light and shadow areas.
I really like the style of your drawing. Keep it up!
