Day 003 Time to tick the titillating tibia off the table. Thankfully, this turned out as a tireless training and.. enough off the alliteration; I enjoyed breaking this bone down into simplified shapes.

Haha, nice wordplay! And very cool sketches, @Michael Mendiola! I suppose you didn’t post this as a critique request, so excuse me for maybe being nosy, but it just occurred to me if you have considered taking the simplification even further, like really geometric, as a way to focus mostly on the joints’ functions and on the bone’s most basic forms possible. Stan and Marshall propose this kind of approach in The 6 Types of Joints lessons and I thought it might help complement what you already have going on in terms of studying the bones. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work!

Day 002 Feeling out the femur today. The head and neck, leading into the trochanters, is a very satisfying form. This bone feels like a club I could smash melons with. The condyles are liked curled knuckles and this part has my favorite hunk of cartilage on a chicken. I am getting a bit more comfortable with pencils again. I've been using pens so frequently it's nice to reconnect with a childhood friend.

Day 001 With a fresh Artist's Loft 5.5"x8" sketchbook, a tri-pencil Faber-Castell set, kneaded eraser, and a set of goals for the coming year: I am possessed to walk this journey. The kick-off is observational sketches of the simplified 3D model.
