Ahhhh I agree with previous comments. Going from Robo bean to Structure is a huge leap. But I thought I would just start simple and just actually try to identify the points first on photos and add in the skeleton. If I can’t even do that there’s no hope for drawing anything.

personally I think that this type of “tracing” is a very good practice, props for this o(^▽^)o buuuut hey - chill and just draw. It’s not supposed to be pretty. Try to have fun! This video helped me with similar concerns about my doodles today: https://youtu.be/6-8ED4DW6A0 I wish you to have a lot of love and faith in yourself and your talent ★彡

First attempt at landmarks after a huge break from drawing. Was tough. Never letting myself having any longer breaks cuz the skills just completely evaporates. Thank you so much for all the feedback ★彡

Hi, here's my first attempt of "structurizing" animals. I don't like how I overuse cylinders and struggle with inserting cubes. I will appreciate any feedback, thanks :>

these look good! My biggest critique would be to draw through the forms, that helps tremendously with finding the mass and form and also helps to guide your cross contours, which you could also do more of

Hi there! Here's 2 min poses :D Tried to get rid of pointless lines I'm used to scribble all around, hope there's little progress xd Thanks for all critique :>

These look beautiful and lively; there's great variety in the strokes (both thickness and darkness) which makes them feel dynamic, with the last 2 being the strongest in my opinion. I also looked in your gallery and definitely think these show progress from the other set I saw. The only small critique I have is that the C-shaped line around the abdomen in the middle pose of the second picture feels unnecessary. Besides that, just keep it up and keep working on which lines to prioritize :)

Hi, here are my doodles, its not my first time practising this but i didn’t do it in a while. It was neither 30s nor 2 min, I did something in between to warm myself up. I can’t count how many times i tried to fin this course, I always was loosing motivation at landmarks xd so i hope you will see me posting regularly this time :>

Hi @Maja Marais, I think theses sketches are really nice! I can tell that you have tried this exercise before. I´ll try to look for things to help you further: - The gesture is good in these and I think it could be even stronger if you tried to connect things more. If you see the possibility to connect many parts with a single gesture line, take the chance! Simplicity can strengthen a piece and make it more readable. - Try to draw lines that help the gesture as much as possible. In your drawings I see a few small lines that don´t do much for the gesture. Instead of spending time on those try to look for lines that do more for the gesture. Of course, thinking that every line should be the best possible line, might make you timid; just make this something you aim for. "I always was loosing motivation at landmarks xd" You´re alone about loosing motivation along the way. For me it was very helpful to have practicing drawing as a routine. It´s not until recently that I´ve discovered the beauty of routines. For long I thought of routines as enemy, something that forced me to do stuff when I didn´t feel like it, but now I´ve realised that they are a friend, something I can rest in when my motivation is not there. For me daily practice was the easiest to uphold. I hope this was helpful :)
