Don't forget to include references, too! I assume it's the third pic based on the shadow shape P.S. don't read anything below if you used other reference lol I think you did a nice work keeping the lines consistent! It does require a certain level of both accuracy and patience! And you also managed to keep the tone consistent too. I have some advice you might find useful. But I am not a pro artist at all, a beginner like you, so take it with a grain of salt: 1) Try to put more time into careful observation and planning of your shapes. For example, if you observe the top shadow, it become much thinner in the top on the reference and is longer than in your drawing. The space between top and bottom shadow is much thinner too — it actually converges towards the left edge of a pear rather than diverges (see blue lines in the attached photo). Also, the shapes are a bit too angular for a pear — you can create an illusion of arc with straight lines too! 2) Controur and overall proportions could also use more observation and planning. I recommend watching Proko's demo where he demonstrates how he lays out a contour. For example, on the reference, a point where a pear starts to become wider on the left is higher, than on the right side (see red line in the attached photo). On the drawing it's the other way around There's no need to copy everything to the millimeter though! Just a bit more observation to display the relations more accurately! 3) Proko didn't mention it (yet), but if you draw with visible individual lines, they should follow a direction of the form you're drawing. Once again, I recommend watching Proko's demo and observing, what direction his lines are following. Especially how he changes planes direction in the shadow zone at the bottom of the pear. 4) Between shadow and light zones there needs to be a dark shadow core line. Proko explains it in much more detail in his demo. That's all, and don't worry if you won't accomplish stuff above at your next try! It will take time. Still, would be useful to keep attention to such thing in the future. And once again, for the first drawing, it really is a nice try! The whole point of the assignment was to force us try accomplish a thing we haven't learned, and yet you did a good job keeping those lines consistent!
