Hello Matthew, I would highly recommend Doian Iten’s class on shading. It has great information and exercises to walk you through the steps of shading. I would also recommend trying to draw objects you can around your house with a light source (preferably a single light source). Observe where the shadows are located and areas where the light is hitting. Practicing with real objects helps solidify the concepts. Hope that helps.
