Had a lot of fun working on these and will do more. Thank you for these lessons. It makes sense starting with the basics as in 'structural approach'. :)

Hi @Johnny McFly, I think these are really cool! You´re focusing on structure but also keeping the gesture! - My main concern is the cylindrical crosscontours. Make sure that the ellipse is proparly angled and that you´re drawing through the form, so we can clearly feel it wrapping around. In your giraffe drawing, the short lines on the neck and legs flattens the drawing. - Even more structure! Go simpler, like you´ve done with the tiger, where everything is clearly a geometrical form. The belly of the cow, it´s right shoulder and the legs of the giraffe don´t feel 3D and solid to me. Be clear about the forms. Think as if you´re building a robot (with gesture of course) - You could also use fewer crosscontours, I think one or two for each form is enough. The function of the crosscontour is to show and be in control of the form, and if you already are, then you probably don´t need another. Instead make sure that the ones you use are accurate. Think if the form is going toward or away from you. One thing that has helped me decern that is to imagine reaching out my hands and touching the subject trying to feel the form, the way you feel the gesture. I hope this helps :)
