Aaaahhahahaaaaa!!! I love this first one so much! It's so fun. I think the composition of the elements of the face is perfect, the scale of the ears eyes nose mouth and chin all work really well together. I think the first one is great as is, for the sake of exploring, something that may embellish it more is if his shirt collar was extremely small to contrast and draw more attention to his mouth. Perhaps even aggressively angling his shoulders downward to create an arrow shape pointing up towards his mouth. You've already kind of got that going on from the top with the way his cheekbones are directing your eye down towards his mouth. These are great, you can tell you had fun :)

This is awesome as it is! If you did want to play with a shirt I think accenting it as negative space may be fun. Adding some spot shading in the background just over where the shoulder would be to indicate where the edge is. But it's beautiful as you've got it :)
