The only part I could keep up with lol

Hi Dorian, loved your video on Lambert's emission law. Would drawing on inclined surface improve my drawings? I currently draw and paint on table surface.
@jb_chivaree
I say yes, it's better to sit up straight and see it head on to keep the painting/drawing from looking squashed or stretched in perspective, also better for posture and easier movement of your arm and hand.

How can you keep visible shape when the value is mostly in midtones? I often run into this problem and it makes sections of my portraits look flat or I have to invent the shadows and highlights on my own and they throw the whole thing off.
Miguel Arguelles
The most well-known advice about values is that we should keep the light value range and the dark value range clearly separated. How does the local value of an object fit into this? eg: should a black cloth in the light also be lighter than a white cloth in shadow? Or should we design separate light/shadow value ranges for each type of cloth?

I struggle with this as well, hard to indicate light on something something so dark that there's also not much room to indicate shadow

I'm not sure where you start your forms but it seems to be missing the segments made with joints, trying to add knuckle later on isn't going to fit well. Put your structure underneath first, treat each finger segment as it's own shape and then. Start with a light pressure so you can easily fix any mistakes and don't be afraid to draw threw same pose now than once, and like others have said, progress to smaller details as you go.

My phone has terrible light balance, it was drawn on white strathmore. I already know I got too carried away with the hair, its a huge weakness
Adam Wiebner
Me too, The hair is fun part!
