Hi, this is my second attempt at this assignment. I wanted to do it again after watching the demo. I also did a pencil version and a digital version. I think I executed much better this time around.

Why simplifying is soo hard?? Literally, I spend too much time on this piece, and I have to learn to draw faster. But still, it was a great exercise, because I'm used to realistic drawings.

I had a bit of a difficult time simplifying the lips. I also lost a bunch of value information by printing the picture off so I might try doing this assignment again but have the reference photo on a screen.
