Is Aluminum wire always preferred for armature creation? Any Pros and Cons of using Copper / Brass wires?

copper wire work hardens so it will become stiff after a few times bending it forward and backward. I also had problems with it turning green color while working with the wire. I haven’t tried brass wire but I imagine it would have similar problems. Plus the other wire is usually more expensive.
