I tried my best to do all of them. I was getting more comfortable with contour lines as I moved along to the later poses. I also tried not to spend more than 5 minutes on a pose to not over work them. Any feedback is appreciated.

Here's a preliminary attempt from my part.
The references are the images in the downloads section. I want to know if I got this right or if I'm completely off before tackling the 10 master gesture studies and imagination ones.
Cheers.
Hey Pedro,
Great work! I can see you leaning into flow in particular poses and it increased as you went on like in 4 and 5. Keep going on these and focus on that flow, and avoid adding too many lumps and bumps and really try to restrict yourself to fewer lines even if you can't close the shapes. Shapes can always go on top of the gesture.

First off thank you for the great lesson and assignment!
I really enjoyed this, and it was incredibly helpful doing both the master studies and the studies from imagination. I am not great at identifying my weaknesses in the imagination yet, but I am going to keep doing them to find out.

My submission for the portrait. Still had a bit of trouble with the mid-tones.
I had the same problem Sean. It does seem like your fundamentals are strong though. Keep up the good work.

I ended up doing both prompts. I definitely did a better job at maintaining the hard shapes on the pear. Any opinions on how I can improve?

I agree, it's a bit hard to differentiate the shapes + values in the portrait. I think you can bring more clarity to this by making sure the values within a shape stay consistent, by going back and continuing to layer until it's evened out and filling in any gaps between line marks. Also in the portrait, the darkest value seems to jump out as much darker than any other value, so I think spacing out the degree of change between values can help bring more clarity to all the middle/light values. But overall, you have a good simplification of shapes and you're on the right track, so you got this! :)

I've fused my favorite ideas together in a new sketch for the pumkin-bull. After that I just wanted to clean him up in Procreate but I lost track of time... Sorry...
These are amazing! I really like how you worked them to be evolving. I feel like this creature could be seen in a stage fight in a dark souls type game.
