Hey @Dominic Falisi! I did a quick paintover. I love the graphic style so I mostly wanted to pop the character out more and leave your shapes alone. I did however render the hair in a more shape-painting style. I'll be honest- I just used auto color and it brought out the warmth in the skin tones I wanted. I wrote some notes on the hue shift affecting the skin tones so I didn't feel like a complete hack! I did however desaturate the are near his waist- it's a subtle note but it adds more depth to an otherwise all blue background.
There's a thousand ways to adjust the contrast in photoshop but I usually use a levels layer. If not, there's always auto contrast! Now we just need to wait for the auto paint button...
Jokes aside, great work and thanks for sharing!

This looks really awesome. I heard tilting the camera angle can add more tension to an illustration, if that helps!
this is a painting i made for a dtiys challenge (just to credit, this is not my oc). i think im not sure about the mood, i am trying to present the character as stuggling and in a tense situation, just about to fail. i think the lighting and color doesnt really show the mood i was going for, and the expression is a bit blank. any ideas or critique are greatly appreciated, on theese or any topics you can think i can improve on. thanks !
