Working on another semi abstract piece:
Acrylic
Untitled
At first it was vertical, but did not like how it was balanced. so took it off the easel, laid it down and started working on another. Sat down one day and was literally looking at this from another angle and was like,"huh, that looks a lot more interesting that way." So turned it horizontal.
Critiques welcome.

First pass at breaking the pear down. Not sure about the edges. Comments and critiques welcome and thank you.
Hi! I am just a beginner, but Stan tells us to practice trying to help others through critiques anyway. So here I go: , I think the shapes you found are good and I like the value change between lightest and midtone. The darkest dark looks a bit to messy both in value cover and shape design. Try making it more "flat" and avoid the fuzzy edges by making all shapes flat, more simple geometric forms.

Very inspiring to see some really beautiful doodles!
I've been impatiently waiting for the class to start, so I've been studying Loomis' Fun With A Pencil. A great supplement for anyone looking for a foundation in constructionally drawing the figure!
An oddly friendly robot.

Normally I wouldn't post anything so early on but I'm super excited about this design. This is just a rough expressionistic mock up but any feedback on composition pose or anything would be useful before I get to deep into the piece. I'm thinking the back "wing" might need some adjustment. Anyway thank you in advance if anyone interacts with this :)
Love the use of rings within rings concept. Maybe beef up the middle section to help visually support the weight of the top; feels like it may tip over if it moves to fast.
