Try drawing through the form as if you can see through the structure. The contour lines facing you would be a little bit darker than the ones on the non-visible side.

I realize that I basically have little idea what I'm doing, could anyone be of help? (First picture in pencil and 2nd/3rd digital)
Maybe work ok loosening up and drawing less with your fingers/wrist so you can have more flowing strokes
