Two 40 minute drawings with a carbon pencil. I didn't realize how much the armor would slow me down; I oughta study it more.

I guess that is the general message, if you draw something that is new to you, it takes longer. So yes practice and study and the next time it is easier. Well done.

I agree about the time. Usually 20 minutes is plenty for me, but with this, 20 minutes feels short.

Wow. So much elegance in that helmet and it’s ornamentation, as well as the everything else.
Darth Vader evokes a reverence and awe for his stature and appearance. These that you’ve created evoke an awe, a mystery as to who they are and what they are all about.
