I'm confused .. why stan's tutorial using loomis method. but i saw his sketching demo he didn't used this way. And i saw some pro they don't use it too..

Here’s my attempt at a side view. My main concern was that the neck looks a bit too thin? I added a bit of colour because I get distracted easily
Thanks Rebecca, yes something doesn’t look quite right. Do you mean the angle where the neck connects to the chest or the head?

You can always take a photo of yourself in that pose and see how your neck looks and where's the connection point. I think the problem is not the thickness, but in the curvature of the front side of the neck. In that position the line should curve in a little. In your drawing it's actually curving out and that's what looks odd to me.

Thank you for the advice, it all makes perfect sense and I will work towards the things you have mentioned.
I didn’t intend to go this far originally so I really roughed in the outline which I admit is horrible. I’ll try to avoid that from now on and focus on creating better lines.
I agree on the hair and colour also. Hopefully I can pick ip some tips for the hair towards the end of the course.
