Working on giving the animals some more structure. Should I make them more box shaped?

I started the 2 min quick sketches. How are these so far? I worked on thinking about longer sections to have a more seamless liner that then puzzle piece body parts. I think that i need to look at the angles and maybe even proportions. Are there too many lines?
