@Giselle One of the things you could focus on is the illusion of depth and focal point. For example in the piece with the caravan, the background could be more blurred as to put the caravan as the central focus, it would also create contrast between softer and harder edges. Adding atmospheric fog in the background would also heighten the illusion of depth and distance and would contribute to making the 2d space feel larger. Apart from that, you could try looking at how colors work within shadows as they aren't just a darker version of the local color. I suggest Marco Bucci's "Understanding Shadow Colors" video. A tiny creature that resembles a human but doesn't have most of their body parts. It lives in the depth of the ocean and feeds off sea weed.
My first proko challenge!
The story for my drawing is a statue of a warrior who died in war. He is headless and is wearing little armour to symbolize how war strips you of everything: your sanity, loved ones and your life. The red flowers blooming around the statue symbolizes the warriors new start in his next life and the pain that he suffered.
”The place we call home” ~ Two wandering children come across an abandoned plane and decide to make it their own.
