Hey, Shadow! If you want to check out some Acrylic tutorials, comic artist David Finch does a lot of his cover work in Acrylic and livestreams the process on his YouTube channel. If you're interested in that subject matter, he's a great teacher! Also, you might want to look into painting with gouache, which has long been used as a training medium for learning how to oil paint. Gouache is a waterbased media, a lot like watercolor, so no harsh chemicals or smells. The only difference is gouache has a controllable amount of opacity so it can be layered easily, and once dry the paint can be reactivated with water so you can blend it.
