can you switch the camera back onto you painting
How do you train your eyes to see the colours? Is it better to squint? I don't see the colours you mentioned (i.e purple and green)

As a beginner, I really appreciate your list. I have heard of Loomis and Bridgman but the others are all new. I am interested to look into them more. Thanks

Yeah, those books on the fundamentals of drawing are great. But the books that are all about applying those skills are really important to look at as well.

Great model! Here’s my portrait study. This was done in about 3 hours on toned paper with just a hb 0.7mm graphite mechanical pencil. Any feedback is appreciated.
